The Chilli Chutney restaurant is owned and operated by The Village Cuisine Ltd, a highly energetic company focused entirely on making authentic and contemporary Lahori food accessible to the European and young Asian palate.

The founders of The Village Cuisine Ltd, Asians themselves, had long sought a restaurant where they could enjoy the sumptuous flavours of freshly prepared authentic Lahori recipes, (found till now only in ethnic enclaves), within a thoroughly modern and vibrant ambience which is both pleasant to the senses and conveniently predictable.

With nothing available in their stomping ground in the South London area, the founders decided to take action.Following a two year formative period in which the Chilli Chutney concept was created, and frequent visits to India and Pakistan to develop the concept, the Chilli Chutney restaurant was formally launched on 11th December 2003 by his Right Honourable Keith Hill, MP for Streatham.

Recognising the critical importance of the chilli as the most fundamental ingredient in our menu, the Chilli Chutney brand encapsulates excellence in culinary preparation and the finest in hospitality.'Our chefs have been specially selected from the best restaurants in Lahore. From this infamous hotbed of contemporary sub-continental cuisine, they have put together an exciting and enticing eating experience.
